Unfortunately, there are individuals who decide that they wish to kill wild animals for fun, and some who want to kill their fellow humans. It is unlikely that society will ever succeed in curing or at least restraining these individuals. But every effort should be made to ensure that it is difficult for them to get hold of the most effective weapons, like military assault rifles.
